If you live near Costco and buy milk by the gallons - save those boxes!
I used contact paper for cover up and added a tag to label the contents.
I started covering the entire box which took a long time and a lot of contact paper.
Then I wised up and covered only the side that would be showing.
This self is in my coat closet.
I got the vintage number tags from here - McKayDesigns.
Just so I don't drive my hubby nuts,
I wrote the contents of the box under the tag.
With five kids in music lessons (two starting this summer),
this was the perfect solution for music books.
Simple - yet elegant.

ReplyDeleteWOW! I have been buying the organic milk from Costco that come in boxes like those for years. I have also been throwing them away (well recycling them) and now I feel horrible. I could have had lots of lovely boxes. Thanks for the great idea.

ReplyDeleteHi Yolanda,
ReplyDeleteThat is very clever! The contact paper makes those boxes look like some zinc ones I bought from Pottery Barn a long time ago. They were expensive. I like you idea better!!
Great job, thanks for sharing this.
I'd love it if you'd stop by for a visit sometime!

Such a good idea I'm hitting Costco up this weekend or should I say the $100 dollar store.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful. What a great way to use milk containers. Everything looks so neat and orderly when stored like that. Genius.
