Spring Grass Terrarium

Spring has sprung!

Both the bowl and the goblet are finds from the thrift store.
I glued the bottom of the goblet to the bottom of the bowl with Gorilla Epoxy glue.

Soak wheat berries in water over night.
This will soften the berries so they will sprout.

Spread the wheat berries on top of the soil and cover with just a teeny bit of soil.
I watered it with a spray bottle every morning and night - just give it a mist.

5 days later -
I love the root system underneath.

How about Mason jars?

Perfect!!

  17. Are these going to need some trimming from time to time?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yes, they are easier to trim if you use wide mouth jars. I have done both.

  20. Love this! Where can I purchase wheat grass berries? Will a regular grocery store have them?

  21. Wheat berries can be found at health food stores.

  22. This is perfect for the terrarium that I tried to make but my plants died :( I want to try this instead. Do they need direct sunlight? or are they like the edible sprouts (alfalfa, bean, etc.)?
